Service & Social Ministries
Through the Confraternity of Christian Mothers, women unite their prayers and works, sharing in the spiritual benefits of one another as if each had offered them herself. This pious association is dedicated to supporting and strengthening the Christian and Catholic formation of children and families. United with the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Sorrows, members join in mutual prayer, encouragement, and care for one another’s families. Mothers, and all women of the parish, married or single, are warmly invited to take part in this beautiful mission of faith, love, and service.

The Ministry of Consolation at Saint Agnes Parish offers compassionate, faith-filled support to individuals and families experiencing the loss of a loved one. Inspired by the gentle strength of Saint Agnes, this ministry accompanies grieving families through the funeral process and beyond, providing comfort, prayer, and practical care during a difficult time.
Serving on rotating teams, ministry members offer a reassuring presence and guidance during the Funeral Liturgy Outside of Mass (FLOM) and the Mass of Christian Burial. They also coordinate meal support and continue reaching out to families in the weeks and months following their loss, with check-ins at one month, six months, and one year. When additional pastoral care or support from other parish ministries may be helpful, the Ministry of Consolation helps connect families with those resources and ensures their loved ones are remembered in the Saint Agnes prayer list.
Through prayer, kindness, and ongoing care, the Ministry of Consolation reminds grieving families that they are not alone and that their Saint Agnes parish family continues to walk beside them.

The Spirit of Saint Agnes Mission Committee puts faith into action by serving individuals and communities in need locally and internationally. Guided by the Holy Spirit, the committee supports the physical needs and spiritual growth of others through two primary outreach programs. The St. Nicholas Jars program, held during Lent, encourages parishioners to collect spare change throughout the year and share it with someone in need. The committee also supports Sister Elvira’s Think Act Peace (TAP) mission in Masbate, Philippines, by collecting and shipping requested material donations to support literacy programs and families in an impoverished community. Rooted in prayer, compassion, and service, the committee strives to help others grow in faith, hope, and opportunity while building a closer union with our Lord.
