Respect Life Month: Join Us in Prayer and Adoration

October is Respect Life Month, a time to renew our commitment to protecting and cherishing human life at every stage. Saint Agnes Parish invites all parishioners to join the Our Lady of Guadalupe Pro-Life Group in prayer, reflection, and peaceful witness throughout the month.

Respect Life Novena | October 22–30

Join our parish community in praying the Respect Life Novena from October 22–30. The daily novena prayers will be shared through the parish newsletter, website, and social media, allowing us to unite in prayer for the protection of all human life.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Pro-Life Group Meeting | October 17

The group’s monthly meeting will take place on Saturday, October 17, at 9:00 AM in the Brannon Room of the Faith Formation Building. The meeting begins with the Rosary, followed by the group meeting. All are welcome!

40 Days for Life Prayer Vigil | October 20

During the fall 40 Days for Life campaign, the Our Lady of Guadalupe Pro-Life Group will join others in peaceful prayer for the protection of human life.

Tuesday, October 20 | 10:00 AM–12:00 PM

The prayer vigil will take place in the public right-of-way outside Planned Parenthood, 933 Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh. A carpool will depart from the Saint Agnes parking lot at 9:00 AM. All are welcome to participate in this peaceful witness and pray for those most vulnerable among us.

Adoration Day for the Sanctity of Human Life | October 29

Thursday, October 29 | 8:00 AM–7:00 PM

Join the Our Lady of Guadalupe Pro-Life Group for a special day of Eucharistic Adoration dedicated to the sanctity of human life at every stage.

Hourly prayers will include intentions for those suffering from abortion and other attacks against life. At 3:00 PM, the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Rosary will be prayed together. Prayer booklets will also be available for personal prayer and meditation.

The day will conclude with Benediction and the Rite for the Blessing of a Child in the Womb. Expectant mothers and fathers are invited to receive this special blessing.

Let us unite in prayer as a parish community, asking God to strengthen our commitment to the dignity of every human life and to guide us in building a culture that welcomes and protects all.
