Respect Life Month Activities

As part of Respect Life Month, we invite you to participate in the Respect Life Novena, October 22–30. The novena will be shared through the parish newsletter, here on the website, and social media so that our parish community can pray together for the protection of human life.

The Our Lady of Guadalupe Pro-Life Group will hold its monthly meeting on Saturday, October 17, at 9:00 AM in the Brannon Room of the Faith Formation Building. The meeting begins with the Rosary, followed by the group meeting.

During the fall 40 Days for Life campaign, the St. Agnes Our Lady of Guadalupe Pro-Life Group will join others in peaceful prayer for the protection of human life. 

Tuesday, October 20 | 10:00 AM–12:00 PM

The peaceful prayer vigil will take place in the public right-of-way outside Planned Parenthood, 933 Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh.

A carpool will depart from the St. Agnes parking lot at 9:00 AM on both Tuesdays. All are welcome to join us as we pray together for the protection of life and for those most vulnerable among us.

Adoration Day for the Sanctity of Human Life
Thursday, October 29 | 8:00 AM–7:00 PM

Join the Our Lady of Guadalupe Pro-Life Group for a special day of Adoration honoring the sanctity of human life at every stage. Hourly prayers will include intentions for those suffering from abortion and other attacks against life. The Divine Mercy Chaplet and Rosary will be prayed at 3:00 PM, with prayer booklets available for personal prayer and meditation.

The day concludes with Benediction and the Rite for the Blessing of a Child in the Womb. Expectant mothers and fathers are invited to receive this special blessing.
